It's 11:30pm. It's my quiet time. My sweet family are fast asleep in bed. I'm sure Henry is curled up with his blanket and binky, with his butt in the air. Lily is snoozing, sucking on her index finger and ring finger. It's very cute because when she sucks on those fingers she makes the I love you sign. So cute. And Kyle is hopefully asleep (I'm sure he is it takes him .1 seconds to fall asleep once in bed) And I'm hanging out getting ready to feed Lily her "dream feed" and then climb into bed myself. She is doing so good. Her bedtime is around 9:00 pm. I feed her at 11:30 (she doesn't really wake up though) and then she is good until around 8:00 am. She does, occasionally, wake up around 3 or 4 and want to be flipped onto her belly, but it only last for about two minutes. I can deal with that. So good job Lily for now :) I know it can change in a blink of an eye.
Can I just share how much I love my children. I'm sitting here and am just overwhelmed with my sweet blessings. The little jewels that God has placed in my life. I really try so hard to soak it all up. The little, wonderful, things about my babies. Henry is starting to talk, A LOT! It just might be the cutest thing yet. His hair is getting so light from being out in the sun. I really must get his hair cut soon, it's getting a little out of control ;) but still cute as can be. And his little legs are so tan. (yes, I use sunscreen) He is still my little love bug. Henry is a very busy little guy, but he still loves to love, and I just love that.
Sweet Lily is such a little precious lady. She smiles at everyone. Such the friendly girl. (as long as she isn't hungry or tired) When she smiles, it is like it just explodes out of her face. It grows from a little smirk to the huge smile that covers her face. Her little eyes just sparkle. Such joy in that small face. I love when you look into the eyes of your children. Their eyes say so much. You can see so much through them. Such love and trust when they are this small. Nothing compares to that, nothing even comes close to the joy of my children. You could have never, ever, prepared me for the impact being a mom would have on my life. I don't even know if you can explain it completely to a person, I think it's something that has to be experienced.
When I think about the abundant love I have for my children and compare that to how much God loves me, it takes my breath away. To think that I am His daughter and the love He has for me, wow. I didn't even create my children, really. We did some work but.... God, he did the really amazing part. I can never claim that I knit anyone together in the womb. But God, yeah he can. He CREATED me, every inch of me. How much more he must love me than I can ever love anyone. I only pray that people can find that truth because how can you ever be alone knowing someone out there loves you and knows you that much. It is truly amazing.
OK it's feeding time. And I must confess, yes it is late. But I love this feeding. I think I might be a little sad when it goes. I love how quiet the house is. Rocking my sweet girl, while she eats, studying every little inch of her round head and little ears. Just being close to her. It's a spacial time. Love you all and sleep well.

Lily is three months old!!
Here are some new pictures of fun times we have had. The first is of Lily. She is three months and we are loving this time with her. Look at the one pictures with the phone up to her face, that little hand is Mr. Henry. He loves to try to play with her like he likes to play. They are too precious together!
And the next is just some of Henry. The one in the stroller is of him on his first trip to the zoo. It's the only picture I remembered to take. We went with my friend Katie and her little girl Elise, who is two months younger than Henry. And the video is of him eating his new favorite fruit, a whole peach! He loves them, as you can tell. He will eat it and then suck it to get all the juice out. There will be juice dripping down his arms, everywhere. But he just keeps going. How cute!!

Yummy pudding and tiny toes...
This week has been good. We've spent some time at the pool , which Henry loves!!! He could stay there all day if I let him. I get tan, he burns energy. That equals really happy mom and baby. ;) The night before last I made banana pudding for dessert (one of my favorites) and Henry thought it was delicious!! Although he can throw down on food, he really liked this even more than usual. The pictures tell it all.
Yeah that is a big spoon, lol, it was the serving spoon. He thought it was great.

Happy fathers day!
I hope everyone had a wonderful fathers day!! I have to say this day was really special for me. I have the most wonderful man as my husband and father to our children. They don't come any finer. And last year, Kyles first fathers day, we were apart. It was very sad. So I really enjoyed being able to celebrate him yesterday. I know nothing I ever do or say is enough to show how thankful I am to have him in my life. But I can try!:)
God, thank you so much for putting Kyle in my life. He is the best father and husband. Every time I prayed for that certain someone, I know you heard me. And when the time was right you gave me him. I am so blessed. He is a man of such noble character. He is strong and loves you with all of heart. He takes care of us and loves us like a man should love his family. How I respect him for that!! I pray that I can be the kind of wife and mother he deserves too. Thank you God for all my many blessings!

Warning, not for the weak of heart ;)
Great news!! Henry is graduating from his swim class today. Finally! It has been great but everyday all week can get tough, so we are so happy he is almost finished. Just a little warning, most people find it a little disturbing to watch this, amazing but a little hard. I assure you it was hard for me at first too. No one likes to see their little babies in this position or crying. BUT I know it's for his own good. As a parent you want to do whatever you can to avoid a tragedy and protect your children, so I know this is one tragedy that can be prevented and you bet we would have done this no matter what.We have some friends that have a friend that just lost their four year old son in Connecticut to drowning this week. After hearing stories like that there is no better way we would have wanted to spend the last seven weeks.
Henry loves the water, as long as it isn't with his instructor Terry:) Really, he is crying in all these videos (he always does) but really he isn't scared, he is more complaining than anything!
In the videos below you will see him swimming underwater and then floating when he get tired or doesn't have anything to swim to. Floating is the most important skill to master at his current age (17 months). He is so little that little ones that are his age and younger really can only lean so much swimming, but the floating is what is going to save his life if something were to happen while he was unsupervised. So what Terry is doing with him in the first video, it imitates what would most likely happen if he were to fall in. In the second video, when he trows him in head head first it is the hardest for them to correct because being put in the water vertically really disorients them and it takes a lot of skill to correct that. But as you can see he is a pro, I am one proud mama!!

Family fun
I just can't believe that she is already 10 weeks old. Lily has changed sooo much. Here is my beautiful daughter. Here she is checking out Henry's tickle me Elmo. You can see his big eyes in the picture. She looks a little concerned:)
Henry just doesn't understand why she doesn't love the passy. She looks like she is about to sock him. lol
I LOVE this picture.
Sibling love
Here is my beautiful mother and beautiful daughter
We ALWAYS have our hands full. The babies always want one of us not both:)
OK here is another "in action" picture set. I am always trying to get the "work up to cry " faces because they are so great. Here is one attempt, although I didn't get all the great faces.
And then goes into a all out cry.
Sweet boy and girl :)

Glorious day........
Reading one of my books in the chair
Here is my little Linus:) He has two things he needs when getting ready to go to bed and when he is tired he will go get them out of his room. His blanket and his passy. :) And then he carries them around even when he is playing. Here he is trying to play with the hammer, take his drink, all while sucking on the passy and carrying the blankey. He's a young multitasker.
She loves Daddy (most the time)
