Five whole months!!!!!!

My sweet little girl is five months old today!! Oh my goodness! I thank God every day for these miracles in my life. She is my princess. I get to watch Cinderella and Little Mermaid with her. (two of my favorites) I get to teach her about being a woman and enjoying the joy of being a girl. Dresses, boys (oh my!) make up (one day when she's 30 ) doing her hair, and the most important, falling in love with Jesus Christ!! My sweet girl.... I love you!
* just a cute girlie note. one of her favorite times of the day is putting her jammies on. :) I know I LOVE getting into my comfy pj's and preparing to go to bed. And she does too! She could be in a awful mood and when you slip her into her jammies (seen above) she always smiles and coos. She loves it. Girls, so fun!

Henry James...

Oh my Henry. It's hard to believe that in two days he will be 20 months old. 20 months sounds so much older than 19months. :) And it's even harder to believe that he will be two in four months. Wow.
My crazy wonderful child. He has brought more joy and utter delight in my life. More than I was even prepared for. Thank you God!!!

Yesterday, I started time out with him. I have to use our pack and play right now because he really is too little to expect him to sit in a "time out chair" right now. He would think it was a game. But anyway, he had to go there three times yesterday. He really hated it. I'm glad, because I was worried he wouldn't care and then back to square one:) But it was so sad because it is set up in our room. And so I picked him up to get him dressed because we were headed out. Well I took him into our room because I keep some of his clothes in there, and the minute we went in the room he started to cry and say "no, no, no". I realized after a moment that he thought he was going back in time out:) I just said "no hunny, you didn't do anything wrong. No time out now" and he stopped as soon as he realized that was not why we were there. I felt so bad for him. But, he did remember, and he really doesn't like it!!

The other night we were getting ready for bath time and I had stripped Henry down and left for a second to grab his towel. Well he decided to get in the tub, and then into Lily's baby tub(I had just finished bathing her). It's so funny to see him in that, he's so big!! He got a great kick out of it though.

Here he is just lounging...

And that sweet angelic face:) He is actually looking at the faucet to make sure I wasn't turning the shower on. We have one of those plastic ducks that cover the facet. Well in order to turn the shower on you have to take the duck off. Henry HATES the shower. So anytime you touch the duck he is on alert!

And I think the same day, he woke up from his nap a little wet so I took his clothes off so I could take them to the laundry. Well he proceeded to take off his diaper and go running through the house. I caught up to him as he was trying to climb under the coffee table to get away from me.Those evil clothes!

And today we went to my friend Sarah's house. We did our usual walk (which was by the way three miles!!) and then went in for lunch and some play time. Henry loves to play with Josh. Josh is eight months older than Henry but they get along great. Actually, today Henry was a little lethargic and Josh was the wild man:) Kinda weird, must be a full moon:) That never happens.
Here they are sharing Joshs' chair. They were so cute. I think Elmo was on and Henry was very into it!

What a cute little guy!! Don't I just lovem!!!!

Back in gear!!!!

I have a camera!! :) I was really going crazy without one. I sure am addicted!! Anyway, most of these (actually all) are of Lily with Henry's head mixed in a couple. He is just too busy to get a great shot of right now. She's getting so big. She really is a happy sweet girl. This is her playing on her play mat this morning. ( $25 deal in prior post ) Henry just loves to snuggle and play with her on it. He does a pretty good job of being careful not to smoosh her.

I do have to talk about their sweet relationship right now. I hope that I can assure you that are 1. having your second or 2. thinking about having more than one, that is it the best thing you could do for your little guys or gals.

They just love each other!!!! I watch them together and I can't imagine how their lives would be without each other. She adors her brother. She watches every move that he makes. (not so good sometimes!!) and sometimes he is the only one that can get a smile or laugh out of her. We walk with my friend Sarah and her little boy Josh. Josh is older than Henry but they really do enjoy each others friendship. Yesterday she was in my front pack and they were both dancing around and she was just belly laughing so hard. Oh how much joy she finds in her silly boys.

And Henry ask for her all day. When she is napping he will say "baby" and walk to her bedroom door and try to open it. She is the first thing he wants to see when he get up from bed, and anytime she is making noise or crying he wants to be right there. I can already see their life long friendship in the making, and it warms my heart to know how special they will be to each other. How lonely they would be with only me to look at and play with. I am so glad God decided to bless me with her when he did. His timing couldn't have been more perfect!!!! He knows so much better than I do. Sometimes it just doesn't make since for it to be hard to give everything to Him.

In these pictures you can see Henry cuddled up to her head. He does this regularly. If she is on the floor playing you will most likely find Henry right beside her.:)

"Joy"

And this is my new stress reliever!! Last week a friend of mine taught me how to make little girls bows. So now I'm pretty much obsessed. I'm trying to get them perfect so I can possibly sell them. They are sooo cute!!!!! I'll have to make more to put up for sale because I'm very attached to these creations :) Even though I have a beautiful bald baby girl right now.:) The picture quality isn't the best but you can get the idea. (I also made the head band Lily is wearing in the above pictures)

"Go go"

I have read this book............ um 2000 times in the past three weeks. It is Henry's absolute favorite book ever. When we are sitting down before nap or bedtime he will say "go go" and then go find his book. It is the only one he ever wants to read. :) The ONLY one. And if he's lucky for bedtime sometimes he can talk both daddy and I to read it to him. That's right he will listen to it over and over again if you will read. It's so funny how they get stuck on little things for a long time. I think it's adorable. (except the fact that I think I could recite the whole book to year without looking at one page!)
Henry is also just exploding with his words. Now can we understand everything, no:) And his words aren't exactly pronounced correctly but he is sure trying really hard. Here are some examples I don't want to every forget.

"bubba" = The name of one of our dogs. He call all dogs bubba.
"gog" = also dog
"baby or "bebe" = baby, he LOVES baby's. He also says this and will run to Lily's door to try to go get her when she is napping.
"cock" = sock, we are working on this one really hard :) lol
"shoosh" = shoes, he really likes his shoes along with everyone elts.
"crack" = cracker
" peeeeeees" = Please, and yes he draws it out almost every time.
"no" = no, he loves this word!!
"momo"/ "emo": Elmo, loves him some Elmo.
"mama": Oh yeah, he JUST started this. He has been saying Dad/Dada since before he was one and knew who it meant. But just this month has he started to say mama and know that it is me. I am so very happy!!!
"Ba ba" = Drink. I think this is interesting since the only time I said ba ba is when he was weaned at eight months and he only took a bottle for three months so I didn't say it all that long. But now that what he calls his drink. Guess he was soaking up things even then. :)
" mine" = Binky. Yep that is what he calls his binky. I think it is adorable. He know what binky means because if you ask him to go get his binky then he will go find it. But when he takes about it it is his "mine".
"nana, pap, pop, .... he is working on Lovey." all his grandparents he has down pat.
" shosh" = his buddy Josh, he just loves him to pieces.
" uck" = truck. he loves is daddys big truck.
"tos"= toes, he loves his toes
"iiiiiiiii" = eye, as he pokes his finger in your eye.
............ oh there are more but that would take days. I do l0ve this age, even with the days like I stated before, I love him to pieces!!!

Those days......

Well it's been a rough few days. My camera is dead and I can't find the charger. Sooo no pictures, yet. I will find it soon!!!!!! Anyway, I've been going through some rough patches with Henry. What can I say really?? He is not too far away from two and I just think that he is moving into a new stage and I was taken just a bit off guard. For about four days I really felt like the worst mom ever. I mean I had no idea how to deal with him. And then when we would be out I couldn't help but think every other mom around me was thinking.. oh my gosh, get your kid under control!! :) I know I shouldn't care but that's how I felt. But I have prayed A LOT about it. I've read some and make kind of a game plan. I feel better. Poor Henry does too. I'm sure that he has felt my frustration and anxiety and it has just added to his behavior. :) I also remember he is Henry. He isn't anyone elts. He is a crazy, full of energy, dangerous, dare devil, live life to the fullest boy. And I really love that about him. I just have to figure out how to teach him and discipline the behavior that isn't acceptable. Oh the frustrations of motherhood.
You know I say that but my whole life I couldn't wait to have these frustrations of motherhood. And I wouldn't give any of it up. It's just a learning experience and we will carry on. Last night and today have been a million times better. I think even the little things I am implementing are working. That's always nice. I also have started putting him down for his nap a little later. The worst part of his day is from about 4-7 pm. Basically right after he gets up from his nap till "down time". So yesterday he didn't go to bed until 2 (it's usually 1 ) because we were at a friends house. Well he slept until five and was WONDERFUL the rest of the night. So I waited until then to put him down today to see if it has the same effect. Let's hope so.
Also, today I got two great deals. Apparently (I had no idea about it) there is a second hand sale in middletown for two days twice a year. It is a huge gymnasium filled to the brim with second hand baby and children's things. Everything is there. Anyway we have been needing to buy another high chair. I've been putting it off because I knew we didn't need it yet. But now Lily will start solids probably next month or so, so we needed to get on that. Well I found an awesome Chico highchair, in great condition, for $35. The same one I got retailed for $140!! And I have been wanted to get Lily a play gym for the floor. I wasn't too impressed with the one we had for Henry. Anyway I found a baby Einstein aquarium one that it awesome for $25, it retailed brand new for $70!! I'm not the best second hand shopper. I don't go out to yard sales, I just don't have the patience for stuff like that. But I was very excited about those bargains!!:)
Well that is about it!! Pictures coming very soon!!!

The fair and such..

This weekend has been really nice. We took Henry to the fair yesterday while my mom watched Lily. We had such a great time with him. We stayed for a little over two hours and he did great!!! Then that night Kyles parents watched both kids and I went on a hot date:) with my hubby. We had a great time. All we ever really do is eat dinner ( not in 20 seconds, trying to finish before one of the babies breaks down ) and then run around. Sometimes we go to Lowes, sometimes Walmart. :) But it's always nice to have that one on one time with him. I think it's sooo important for parents to take time out and just be a couple, that way the whole family stays strong:)
Last week I was feeling bad for Henry. He gets sooo board at home all the time. He is very active and is very interested in everything, besides his toys actually. So on Thursday I was reading how toddlers love to learn about colors and textures. That made since. So I pulled out some beans. About three different kids of beans and some little dishes from his little kitchen. He had a blast!! He picked up, felt, and poured beans for about 45 minutes. The whole while I was able to cook dinner without a board one year old at my feat. It was really nice. Yep I am still finding a few beans here and there but hey! it was totally worth it. I bought some play dough for another time, we will see how that goes over. And yes, he did try to eat them at first but found out fast that they were better to play with then eat!:)

Fun times at the fair. Since Lily wasn't with us we let Henry out of the stroller a lot. He really had a lot of fun.
And he thought the cows were pretty interesting. As well as the hay, and their water troughs and the fan:)

I think he really liked the mules and jacks. They were my favorite too!

We made sure to see all the lives stock. We also saw the roosters, chickens, goats, bunnies, and sheep. I thought the roosters were really fun because there are about 500 kinds of roosters and some of them are very designer and fancy. I can't believe I didn't take any rooster pictures!! After that we followed our noses to the line of food vendors outside. Oh I just love the smell of fair food. It is the best. It's lots of popcorn, cotton candy, fried food of all kinds, and sausages all mixed together for a truly yummy smell. So we indulged in the wide variety of food and listened to a bluegrassy band play. Henry walked up to the stage and watched them play (he loves instruments and music) and danced along to the music. He was so cute.
After that we hit the midway for some rides before heading home. Henry loved the carousel. He was getting a little board just sitting on the horse waiting for it to start but as soon as it started he just squealed for joy. He loved it. And it was fast. I was standing next to him and when it started it almost through me off my feet!! Henry thought it was the best.

This was another favorite! The boats. He had a blast!! It had a steering wheel that he could "steer" and a bell with a string on it that he could ding. He was such a big boy riding that!!!

As you can see by the end he was beat. This was in the rotating pumpkins. Yeah, after this we were DONE! And ready to barf if I remember right:)
It was fun though. I love the fair and hope my kids will grow up with fun memories of it as well!

Fun at the water front!!!

Today we had such a fun day!! My brother, Matt(the one on the right) worked for a bicycle rental down at the water front this summer. He is getting ready to go back to Murry for the semester so we went down to spend the day with him and my other brother Billy. (on the right) We got this HUGE six seater bike, more like bus really, and went for about an hour ride all along the water front. Henry LOVED it!!!!!! He has so much fun in his kid basket in the front of the bike. I thought at first he might be kinda scared but no sir. He just smiled, laughed, screamed, and played. He had so much fun. And I rode with Lily strapped in her baby biorn on my chest. She slept though the whole ride.

And then, after the bike ride we played in the water spouts down at the water front. Henry loved this as well. Oh he just has so much fun!!! The boys just love him, he's lucky to have such awesome uncles.

There are a lot of pictures of him in the water but he was too cute in there. He would put his face right in front of the holes and wait for for water to shoot out in his face. What a silly guy:)

And to wrap up such a fun day, where elts do you go but McDonald's??? We ate some yummy chicken nuggets (I think he may turn into one actually) and then Matt and Billy played in the play ground with him. He went all the way to the top and down the curly slide. ( So did uncle Matt )

Lily had about as much fun as a four month old can have on an outing like this. But as you can see she is still as cute as ever. I know this one is abit blurry but it's just so sweet.

Uncle Billy played in the little playhouse with Henry.

What a fun day. And it was BEAUTIFUL!! outside. We are so blessed to have such and amazing family close enough to do things like this with. :)
