Hilton Head Pt 2

While we were there we had a few opportunities to go (we being Kyle and I, ALONE) and hang out. It was a blessing that Lovie and Pop watched the kids while we enjoyed some much needed one on one time. One night, we went fishing at the pier
pictured below. Let me tell you it was so much fun. We love doing that kind of thing. Especially in salt water. Well wouldn't you know I didn't bring my camera along. But after it got dark we caught six sharks and one eel. :) Four of the sharks were babies, but one was a hammer head, that was really cool. But two of them were pretty big! They were both about four foot long and very exciting to catch. Super sad I don't have any photo evidence.:( And then another day, we drove through Savanna to Tybee Island. Kyle found us this out of the way restaurant for lunch called the Crab Shack. It was a neat atmosphere. They had alligators and birds. We got to sit outside and enjoy some yummy seafood.

Lily only cared about eating, like usual. :)

The last few nights we walked out to the beach after dinner and dessert. It was my favorite time on the beach. It was always low tide and the kids loved playing in the sand and exploring without it being blazing hot. Very very nice!!

35 1/2 weeks pregnant!!! Callie is by far the most "out front" baby of all three. She tends to look like a torpedo in my belly!! lol

Sweet girl loves the beach, like I said before. Such a sweet girl.

Although this is blurry, this is another, not so yummy thing she liked. Sand. She is a sand eater. I think she liked how salty is was. Yuck!!

Henry found a hole on the beach and jumped right in! ;) He is much more brave than I.

This was Lily's favorite thing to do at the beach at night. Push her stroller around. How easily entertained can you be?

And then from the beach we would walk right by the pool. Daddy was sweet enough to take Henry swimming for a while. Henry LOVED swimming with his daddy. And yes, Lily has on a onsie. And no she isn't suppose to be in the water:) But she was just beside herself not to be able to get in, so I gave in:)

And here are some more pretty Hilton Head pics. I just love the scenery here.

The moss is great!! Love it!

Hilton Head pt 1

We are home. Ahhh, it actually feels great! We just got back last night from our vacation on Hilton Head Island, SC. It's one of our favorite places to go!! You can bet I wan't going to miss the beach, even if I am 35 week pregnant! We left last Friday around 12:30pm. Our ride down there was, well, lets just say Lily has never been one for travel:) I've known that since she was a screaming newborn. It's just not her thing. But we made it there in one piece. And boy were we glad to be there!! Let me just say the one thing I miss more than anything is my bed there. I haven't slept like that in months. I still hurt but when I was sleeping I was soooo comfy:)
The two pictures below are the only two I could get of these kids actually sleeping in the car. Wait, no. The one of Henry is him pretending to sleep. Since this one didn't take a nap in the car at all. It was fine for him though because he is a great traveler and was very good. Here is Lily sleeping for one of her few 10 minute stretches. Her problems isn't falling asleep. It is staying asleep. She is a light sleeper plus the face she wants to be laying down, with her sound machine and blanky. The car seat just doesn't do it for her:)
Once we got there we moved them both to the third row seat, very close together. We went with Lovie and Pop, Kyles parents. So we thought that way the adults could sit in the from two rows. Ummm, yeah not such a good idea with a one and two year old. Ha, that lasted about two days.
And Lily was in a not so pleasant mood about 50% of the time.

As you can see. She was not thrilled. I know she cut two premolars while we were there and poor little lady had all the side effects that could be felt. :(

BUT.... she loved the beach!! Actually the water in general. She loved to play in it and try to swim. She was actually frustrated when we were in the pool and we wouldn't just let go of her and "let her swim". Hard headed thing:)

Loving the tide pools at the beach!

She loves the pool "this much" lol

The beach where we stay is so pretty and nice. I love the smell of the ocean!!!

Coming down the boardwalk to the beach

Where we stayed

This is just the tip of the iceberg, more to come:)

Some of my new favorite things for Callie Joy....

So, since I have everything that I need for Callie (basically) I got to splurge on a few things that I couldn't before. As I thought about all the things I have I do wish I would have gone a little more gender neutral with the things for the babies (not the clothes!) but then you know what? We had them so close together I can't use any of the bedding for Callie anyway.

I got this wonderful baby carrier. It's called a sleepy wrap and I think it will come in VERY handy. I am not getting a triple stroller, and Henry is not yet ready to roam free when we go places. So I think this is something that I will use a lot this time.

And this is one of my favorites!! My car seat, while only three years old, has been used by two babies back to back. So I really wanted to get Callie something new. I looked into a new car seat but first off they are over $120.00 just for the car seat. And they have not changed one bit since I bought my current one. So, a while ago I found this wonderful website for car seat covers. Adorable car seat covers. I bought one for Lily's big girl car seat and love it. So, I splurged again and ordered this one for Callie. I LOVE IT!! I received it in the mail this week and it looks even more adorable in person. How fun!! If anyone is interested the website is

So, I actually started this post a week and a half ago:) We are back from vacation, it was sooo much fun. There are A BUNCH of pictures. So vacation posts coming very soon!!:)

Zoo Days...

are so much fun:) Today was a beautiful 80 degree day. We went to the zoo with our friends Katie, Elise, and baby Max. Elise is Henry's age and they have so much fun together:) It was a great time, but note to self: unless you want to go into preterm labor don't go to the zoo again until your ready:) lol those hills are KILLER!!

Henry usually won't wear sunglasses, so he doesn't have any. BUT when he saw Elise wear hers he wanted to keep mine on. ;)

Henry got up close and personal with the Orangutan. He did want to leave this exhibit. I think he actually wanted to take them home with him.

Lily pointing out the orangutan. She actually really loved the animals. It surprised me because at this age Henry could have cared less:)

Dr. Jeckle, Mrs. Hide?

My sweet princess. She is such a blessing to this home. And she has brought lots of femininity to our family as well as much drama? I guess that might go hand in hand though. Let me tell you I have never seen such a dramatic baby in my life. Really. She encompasses all it means to be a female. I don't mean that in a bad way but she does. And at this point I'm not quite sure how to handle it. She throws monster fits every 30 minutes, all day long, like it's her job. About everything. She likes to be held, a lot. And if for some reason you can pick her up then it's all out screaming for like 20 minutes. She HATES to have her clothes put on/ taken off her. She flails and screams for like 20 minutes. She wants to play with everything whenever she wants it. And if for some reason she can't , say Henry is playing with it, then she screams, for like 20 minutes. Do you see a pattern here?? Yeah, she never just cries. She screams, and cries, and just throws a fit. I have to put my hands in the air because I've never had to deal with this before. And the recently, and I blame this on her HUGE swollen gums in the back, she just cries for no apparent reason. So that leaves us with a sweet, adorable, bundle of joy who is only joyful for less than 50% of the day:) poor girl. I have to hope that when her premolars break through the unnecessary crying with cease. But what to do with all the other extreme behavior. I have no idea:) girls girls, they are a whole new playing field. Whoever said girls were easier than boys is crazy.

Here is my sweety playing quietly and happily in the cabinet. Oh and check out the cute bow in her hair. You can't see it that well. I wish I had a better camera to get a better picture of it. But i got these off the Internet and they are adorable and amazing!! If you have a little girl with fine/ not much hair then you would love these!!! They are made specifically for that kind of hair and say put!! They won't come out until you take them out. The website is prettypetalshairclips.com. I have just fell in love with them and the fact she can wear little bows all the time now:) yay:)

Lily is also almost 14 months, which is sooo hard to believe. Here are some 14 month old fact about Lily for those of you who don't get to see her AND for a mommy who's memory and brain cells are fading fast:)
Lily is NOT walking yet. She has six weeks to learn and I'm doubting that will be happening!!
Some of Lily's words are... mama, dada, dog, hi, (she loves to say hi) nononono, (it super cute when she says this) She is wayyy more verbal then her brother was at this age.
She loves her dolls. She loves them and hugs them and pats their backs. I love to see the maternal instinct's come out so young. The only thing Henry wanted to do with dolls is throw them across the floor:)
She loves her bed and to sleep. By the time nap time/ bedtime rolls around she is reaching for her bed.
She doesn't handle pain very well:) Where as Henry could have had a concussion and you wouldn't have known it, Lily bumps into something and you would have though someone stabbed her. Really.
She likes to wave at people and at herself in the mirror.
She is most cuddly right after bath time. She isn't super cuddly, but right when you get her out of the bath and wrapped up in her towel, all the wants to do is wrap her arms around your neck and lay her sweet head on your shoulder and hug really tight. It's a super sweet time:)
I am very blessed with this little girl. God is using her to teach me so much about myself. It's a humbling experience to say the least.
