Time is flying by..

It's amazing how fast life if going right now. And I'm just trying my hardest to soak it all in because it is so precious right now. Callie is 10 weeks!! Can you believe it!! I sure can't. She's a doll. Sleeping like a champ and sooo sweet natured and laid back. (guess you kinda have to be being the third right in a row!) Things are good. If you have little ones, go hug them really tight. And even though they are hard and you are tired sit back and marvel at this wonderful gift God has given us. They are truly amazing gifts.... gifts strait from the hand of God himself. Here are some of the girls....

Our first of many pony tails... well kinda. :)

Cool girl... she is sooo girly it's cute!

Butt paste!

Never leave your two toddlers unattended giggling in a room together, this is what you get..... I was making dinner tonight and realized that they were playing so sweet together in Lily's room. I even peeked in and saw their little feet under the curtain. They were both behind it laughing, so I just though they were being cute looking out the window. I should have known better....
A little while later Lily walked out with the tub of Butt Paste. Uh oh. And it just happened that she was covered with it. My mind went to Henry... I knew he was the original culprit anyway. So I pulled back the curtain and saw him too, covered with butt paste as well as the window. What a sight and what a mess!! They still smell like the stuff after two bathes. Oh my!

Fun in the sun...

Today we went to our dear friends house to play in their fun backyard. It was a hot day, but that is perfect when you want to spend time in the cold water!! You can't tell that Henry had a blast can you!?

Lily had a fun time as well. I forgot to put her swim diaper on and her regular diaper exploded (opps) so I had to take if off and then go get her other diaper. She was enjoying running around 1/2 naked !

And she loved the sprinkler just about as much as Henry. I really think my children could spend all day outside and never ask once to come in.

Well maybe Lily would ask to come in because this was her done face:)

A nice weekend..

We had a fun weekend! After hanging out and renting a movie on Friday night, we hung and around the house on Sat. and then went to a friends party on Sat night. The kids had a blast and it was nice to visit with everyone. Then, on Sunday my dad and brothers came over to visit and see the kids. We had mexican for dinner (yum!) and said goodbye to my youngest brother who was going back to school today.

Henry and Lily are very different when it comes to new people. (or even people they haven't seen in a while) Henry plays shy and coy for a little bit but soon he is back to his crazy self. But Lily, oh Lily. You would think that everyone was trying to steal her. She does not even try to act friendly if she doesn't know the person very very well. This is her normal reaction to new people. She clings like a monkey!

Callie checking out Pappy (my dad)

Look at her poor nose. She woke up from a nap the other day with a huge scratch down her nose.:(

She still isn't convinced that she can leave her daddy.

My sweet girl, she's such a cutie!

And I still love that she sucks her finders. How cute is that!

Callie is starting to smile a whole lot now:)Pappy with the girls.... I just love this picture. She loves shoes. She has about four or five pair and loves them all. The first thing she does when she wakes up if point to her shoe shelf and say "shoes!" she always wants to wear them and talk about them. There's a girl for ya!

She loves to sleep like this, so cute.

My big brown eyed boy:)

Lily swinging with Pop (kyle's dad) This is the only thing that made her happy that night.

And Henry and his friend Mica, eating ice cream.

Sweetness....

Doncha just love little babies?? I mean yes, they are sooo much work. Lot's of diapers, lots of attention, lots of sleep (during the day!) lots of not sleeping at night. But there is just nothing quite like those few weeks you get of just snugly baby. They are just never that snugly again ya know? Even if they are snugly toddler (which mine are not) that is the only time that they NEED to snuggle. That's about all they can do anyway:)

There is something so sweet and sacred about mommy's and their babies. I'll never forget how amazed I was after having my first at how, even so small, they know who their mama's are. They can smell you and sometimes (heck most times) you are what they want. They follow your smell, they follow your voice, they want to be snuggled under your chin, no one else. And even though this little girlie is my third, it just doesn't get old! Perhaps, it is even more sweet because I know, first hand, how short lived this stage is. Soon she will be more interested in her surroundings, more curious, and more mobile. But for now, I am her everything and I like that.

I can't help but know that this is how it was perfectly designed. God knew after carrying these small miracles in our belly's and our hearts that we would want to hold them close after finally meeting them. That our love for them trumps being tired and weary. That no matter what these babies could depend on us for everything.

So as I go through my busy day, I try to remember just how sweet my little Callie is. To hold her tight, to kiss on that sweet head, and soak up every moment. Because in a blink it's gone.

Cookin'

Today we were at home again! The third day in a row!! I'm never home that many days in a row!! Well we had to have some fun.:) So we made some cupcakes for daddy. They are him favorite kind just 'cause we love him so much!! I didn't get any shots of Henry actually making them because I didn't' think it would be wise to go get the camera while he was cracking eggs, pouring oil, or mixing with the mixer:) But this is him putting the final sprinkles on them. Lily stirred the batter with a spoon and watched from her high chair eating raisins.

And enjoying the fruits of his labor... yummm!

Lily enjoyed his fruits as well:)
