Callie Joy is 2!

Goodness, with most of my little's birthday come fast. But with Callie it feels like it took her FOREVER to be two! lol I'm thinking it's because she was such a early crawler/walker that she has been on the move now for a long time. She just seems really old for her little age so in one since wow it's been two years! but in another it seems like she should be three or something like that.

But let me tell you how I love this girl. She is special. Such as each of them. But with all her rascleness, she has my heart. She is stubborn, to this day the most of all three of them. She doesn't talk a whole lot, but not because she can't. But I'm pretty sure she has just decided she doesn't have to :) She is a lover and loves to sing. Right now her favorite song is Children of God but will sing along to many on the radio. She adores her bubba, wants to be just like Lily and likes to boss Sidney around. She is very cautious, which kinda of surprises me because she is such a active little miss. She loves people, but can also be a little wary of people sometimes. She is an observer, and watches people all the time. She picks up on little things that other personality types (ahem Lily and I) would not even notice. That is why I think she acts older than she is. She is quite the thinker. And she is pushy when she wants something. If I am holding her and she wants me and I am not paying attention to her, she will grab my face and make me look at her. She doesn't take no for an answer!
She is adorable to boot. Besides her coloring which is just like mine, she has many traits that she only has. She is built very small. The only small boned one of us :) and her almond eyes are just beautiful. She is a happy little girl full of energy. You will find her many a time skipping around the house :) I thank the Lord for this precious gift we have in Callie. I sure love her a whole lot! Happy birthday my sweet girl!

Garden update

So my plants are doing OK!! Which is great because after the cold, rainy start they got and then being gone for a week I wasn't sure what I'd be left with. But they are going strong :) My tomatoes have pulled through I think ...... with the wet cold they looked pretty awful but now with all the warmth they are going fast and best of all, all four of them have these pretty little flowers on them, hopefully they will turn into baby tomatoes soon!

My basil exploded. When we left for vacation (will blog about that next!) it was little a little puny, but I cam e back and it had taken off!
My Old Fashioned Goliath
My better boy
Oh my squash, they aren't growing so fast. They are still pretty small but they have a ton of unopened buds on them so maybe I will get squash from a little plant??we will see
My strawberry plants are doing great. Here is a sweet little flower before I had to pluck it :( Because of the kind of berries they are I have to pluck the buds/flowers until July 1st so they won't set fruit the first harvest. But then I can let them go and hope that they produce a few for the late harvest.
And my bush cucumber plant actually looks good :) and as you can see here has blooms starting to open... they are small as well though.
Planters I put together when I got home this past weekend, my front porch needs some color
My caladora Lily's look great!
And my wave petunias exploded as well. Can't believe not too long ago these were tiny plants.
