Christmas morning fun...

Our Christmas was wonderful! We have so much to be thankful for and so much joy in this house. We started pretty early on Christmas day in order to fit it all in. We had to wake the kids at 7:30, but both were in pretty good spirits, ex specially considering no one likes to be woken up!

And Henry was very excited about the gifts under the tree. He got lots of musical toys since he just LOVES music of any kind.

The funniest thing was that although Henry enjoyed the gifts, Lily loved getting and opening her toys. I've never seen a little baby care so much about gifts. Last year Henry really didn't get into it and he was a year. She LOVED it! And anticipated every gift she got. She would watch us open it and just watch us and bounce up and down. And then she would take her toys one by one and study them and play with them. She's so funny!

I took a lot of Lily. But hey it's her first Christmas and two she is just so darn cute!!:)

The rain deer antlers were classic. Henry didn't want anything to do with them but Lily didn't mind:)

This was her first little piece of jewelry. Cute on her little wrist!

Very into opening her gifts!

Henry had a great morning too! He is just so busy these days. It's like pulling teeth to get him still for a moment and to look at the camera.

After we got up and did our Christmas together as a family of four we headed to Kyle's parents to do breakfast with them. We spent the morning there and opened gifts and enjoyed some family time. Then we came home for naps for the kids and around four my family came over and we had dinner and a fun night. My mom's husband got a Wii for Christmas and he brought it. We all had so much fun playing that all night!!Here is Henry in his new chair that says Henry on it, with his guitar. He was hilarious with that thing. He holds it correctly (he has watched his daddy play a lot) and just jams on it. It really was so entertaining to watch him.

So now it's all over. I feel like today is the fist normal day in two weeks. I have to say I LOVE Christmas but it has exhausted me. Now I am ready to get back to our normal schedule. I have so enjoyed having Kyle home so much though. It is hard to give him back to work!! Henry's birthday is Wed so things aren't completely back to normal but almost!! I hope everyone had a joyous Christmas no matter how busy because it really is so joyful because no matter what, it is the celebration of our Savior Christ's birth. I don't know of a better reason to celebrate do you??

Christmas in Bama

I'm going to try to play catch up before it's impossible:) Last week we were in Alabama. That's where I'm from and where all of my dad's side of the family lives. (Alabama and Georgia) So last Wed. morning we packed up and headed on the road. The trip was great! Lily did so good, barley cried a bit and Henry road with my dad a lot of the time and was great as well. Kyle and I love road trips so the trip wasn't so bad!
It took us about 10 hours on the way down because we stopped, a lot, and for a long time. But we finally arrived and enjoyed ever busy minute we were there. In that family between, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins we have about 37 or so people. Most were there. I miss them so much since we only see them at most, twice a year, so every minute is loved.
For those of you who don't know Kyle (and about every other guy down there) are hunters. Well Kyle hasn't had much luck this year. Last year he got his first deer, a doe, and was so happy. But since then he hasn't even seen a deer the times he has been out. I'm afraid he was getting really frustrated and down about it. So when we go to Bama it in the country, much like where Kyle and I would like to live one day:) And everyone has land. Well Kyle took this opportunity to go hunting twice on my grandfathers land. The second morning he went out and called me soon after he was in the woods. And what do you know!! He got his first buck!! Big big deal!! I was so happy for him!!!! Now it is being processed and we will have a freezer full of venison (yes we eat them and yes they are delicious!! and much better for you than cows!!) and a deer head on our wall in July.:) And for those of you who really know us, it shouldn't surprise you one bit that we will have a deer head mounted on our wall:)
OK here are some cute pics from the trip. I didn't get a whole lot because, well, I did have two babies to chase around all week:)

I know, none of Henry. But he is getting harder and harder to photograph. He just doesn't stop long enough!!! Christmas pictures coming soon!!

where does time go?

Wow, these past few months have flown by!!! I can't believe we are already into December!! We have had a great few months. Lot's of celebrations and lots of family, friends, and laughter. My computer decided to let me upload some photos today so let me do a picture update on the last, ummm, three months:)

I took the kids to a farm in Shelbyville called Galreins. It's like a mini Hubers and Henry had so much fun. We went with a friend of mine, Katie, and her little girl, Elise, who is two months younger than Henry. They have a good time together! Henry didn't know what to do about the hay at first..Hugs for Elise..

On the hayride out to the pumpkin patch. Lily was freezing, poor girl. She's such a great sport!

The two little monkeys in the bath. Now that Lily can sit up they have lots of fun together. Actually when I put Lily down for her morning nap Henry always cries and ask for baby. He doesn't like her to go away.

We can't believe our girl is 8 months old already!!!

Henry is never satisfied that she is done with her bottle. Here he is just making sure she doesn't want a little more.(don't you just love the hat and the shorts and tee shirt!)

We webt and got our Christmas tree on Tuesday night. He loved going to pick it out, I wish I had had my camera then. But at home he wasa big help too!

He was my helper and helped me plug in all the light strands to make sure they all worked.

He is still working hard plugging in the lights, lol!
I can't believe that my little man will be two years old this month. Where does time go?? I wish life had a pause button on it sometimes. I hope everyones Chirstmas season has started joyful and continues that way.I will update more soon!:)
