8 weeks old

Almost two months old!! Can you believe that? She is getting more precious by the day. Her little personality is starting to shine through and it is just so cute. She grins a lot, and loves to be talked to. She even has just started to try and talk back. She said "gooo" today while I was talking to her. :)
Kyle has been gone a lot this week with school and it has been rough. I really have no idea have single mom's do it all the time. I had the babies all day and night for the past two days and I am wiped out. I don't think I just got to sit and have nothing to do or think about the whole time. Yeah, I am tired. But don't you worry, I know how lucky and blessed I am to have these children and a hard working husband, I do. I am the luckiest of all!!!

Look at Henry's face in this one...

No not taking the passi just yet. But if I put her gad drops on the end she will suck on it until they are all gone, and then promptly spit it out. Oh well, I tried....

The first time playing with a toy... for about ummm 3 seconds.:)

These are her cute birth marks. A strawberry on her head and stork bites on her neck. She even had "angel kisses" on her eye lids.

I do love my baby girl!

Super baby

And she is ready to go to bed!

Memorial Day in Bama....

What a weekend! We went to Alabama to visit family and to celebrate my cousin graduating high school and my Pop's 80's birthday. We had such a wonderful time, even with everything that happened. On the way there, about 10 min. from there house our car broke down. It was quite a scene the four of us stranded on the side of an express way. My dad and uncle came to pick us up and had to car towed. Turned out that our engine basically blew up, cracked right down the center. Well, needless to say it wasn't worth it to fix it and we sold it to the owner of the shop. But even though that happened and on the way home Henry had two exploded diapers, it was really a great trip. I miss that all my family so much.

Here is Henry on the way home watching the DVD that Aunt Christy sent with us. He is such a good trip taker!
This is my cousin Erin with Lily on Sunday morning before church.

I just love the look on her face. I wish that the hat was up a little but it's so cure none the less.
And big grins all weekend.

Henry outside at Aunt Lindas by the pool. This was at the birthday party on Saterday for my pop.

He just loved the gator!!! He would pretend like he was driving and would climb in and out of it over and over again.

My cousin Hanna and Lily. She slept the whole day!

Uncle Matt and Henry

My Aunts and Nana and Pop. Doesn't he look fabulous for 80!!

my little belly sleeper

Oh my goodness. Lily and I have a little problem. She refuses to sleep on her back. At night, when she is on her back she only sleeps about 45 min IF she falls asleep at all. She really hates it. But... if she is on her tummy this is what I get. She LOVES it. I don't know..................... I do know she loves to sleep in this position. Look at that little face. How cute!! (thanks for the pic Blair, it's so sweet)

This is so true!

I just couldn't resist. I think anyone from Louisville can appreciate this

You know you're From Louisville When...
Your "International" airport has only one passenger flight that actually leaves the 48 contiguous U.S. states. It is also the size of the average mall.

The in-state sports rivalry is paid more attention to than the national championship.

You live in an area that occasionally gets considerable snowfalls, floods, and tornadoes... but has no capacity to deal with any of the above.

You pronounce the name of your city different than anyone else you've heard.

You think the rest of the people in Kentucky sound like hicks.
When you think " Kentucky " you don't automatically think horse racing or fried chicken.

You ask your doctor for an allergy cure and he tells you to "move"

You've shovelled 10+ inches of snow and worn shorts in the same week.

When people ask what school you went to, they don't mean Vanderbilt, Yale, or Harvard; they mean Ballard, Male, Manual, Trinity or St. X.

You know what the Bambi Walk is.

Your last ten vacations were in Panama City or Destin.

You make an emergency run to Kroger for bread and milk at the first sighting of a snowflake.

You've lived here for years, yet somehow you get hopelessly lost each time you attempt a shortcut through Cherokee Park .

You're convinced turn signals are useless options on a vehicle.
You hold up traffic to let a motorist you don't know into your lane.

You give directions based on landmarks that no longer exist or street names that have changed, but your directions never confuse any of the other Louisvillians

You have never been to the Derby , but wouldn't miss the Oaks.

You call in sick to attend the Oaks and spot your boss - who also called in sick - at the next betting window.

You think all the REAL hicks live in New Albany IN.

You think the only thing Southern Indiana is good for is buying pumpkins.

When introduced to another life-long Louisvillian, you spend the first part of the conversation finding out how you are connected. It's never as many as six degrees of separation - usually three will do it.

You think a pervert is someone who would rather have sex than watch basketball.

You've built a shrine to Rick Pitino in your basement.

You can read about Rick Pitino in at least three different sections of your newspaper.

You think the rest of the world knows what Benedictine spread is.

You think the rest of the world knows what a Hot Brown is.

You have never eaten fish that wasn't fried.

You think the whole world puts spaghetti in chili.

You want another bridge built over the Ohio River , just so long as it doesn't cut through YOUR neighborhood.

You've experienced a "salt storm" after a two-inch snowfall.

You're still bitching that Dillards took over Bacon's

You're still calling Bashford Manor Mall a Mall and it has been
gone for 7 Years.

You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends from Louisville.

Happy Mothers Day all you Mommy's out there

Henry and Daddy getting ready to go mothers day shopping together. How cute!

Before I was a MomI never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a MomI never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put him down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom -I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom -I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom
